Rainforests are groups of trees living in one sector harmoniously set apart by rather elevated rainfall, which more or less include definitions setting lthe least amount of normal yearly rainfall. In the rainforest people have still yet to discover the many species that live beneath the folds and crooks of the land.

It is said that the rainforest and somewhat like large pharmacy because of the many medical purposed plants that dwell in the areas that have yet to be seen. These are natural medicinal plants all made for well being of its inhabitants. These rainforests (because of the many plants and trees that still dwell in it) are also greatly responsible for the turn over of twenty eight percent of oxygen on earth. This is commonly mistaken for oxygen production, but what these plants do is absorb the carbon dioxide and transform it into oxygen before releasing it back into the environment.

Rainforest Layers

The Rainforest, with all of its beauty and medicinal jewels, is categorized or segregated into four main layers. These Rainforest Layers hold plants and animals that live within the layer and keep themselves safe and hidden in the layer that they have kept themselves in.

The very first of the Rainforest Layers to be discussed is the emergent layer. This is a layer that hold a limited number of rather tall trees which are dubbed emergents. These are trees that can potentially grow to seventy to eighty meter high up, a kind of layer that has to withstand some of the tropical temperature and strong, vicious winds in some parts. In this are the inhabitants mostly consist of butterflies, moneys, bats and eagles.

The second Rainforest Layers is the canopy layer, a layer that contains the majority of the largest trees that are about forty-five to fifty meters high. Biodiversity is not typically as dense, however the densest of it can be seen in the canopy rainforest layer. Most of the insect species are believed to dwell in the canopy layer because of the fauna family that chooses to grow in this layer.

Rainforest Layers

The next of the Rainforest Layers is the understory layer which can be found in between the canopy and floor of the rainforest. Snakes, birds and lizards are most of the species that wish to call this place home. The predators such as the boa constrictors, leopards and jaguars also choose to live within the areas of this rainforest layer.
